CHANEL VITALUMIÉRE Review.

So finally, here it is, my review of CHANEL's VITALUMIÉRE foundation. I've wanted to do this review ever since I got the foundation a few weeks back, but I didn't because I wanted to fully test it out and make up my mind... and I think I have come to my conclusion.

If you didn't know already, I purchased the Vitalumiére because I wanted to splurge in the duty free on holiday, and MAC wasn't there so I got this, something that I've really wanted for a long time, but I put it off because it really was a splurge!

Something that I find rather interesting about this foundation is that the colour looks really dark in the bottle, and on my hand for that matter, especially when you compare it to my other foundations, but it is a perfect colour match on my skin. Its so confusing, honestly, I got home and compared it to my favourite MAC foundation and was totally caught off guard.

I'm not one for piling on the foundation, in fact, I use about half of a pump because I feel like any more is just too much. I do however, like to use quite a bit of concealer around my t-zone, but I haven't been using it as often because I really wanted to trial this product properly. I get a very nice amount of coverage from just half a pump, it doesn't look like much on my hand but once I blend it into my skin (I use the Real Techniques Stippling Brush) I find that I get a really natural looking glow.

I have found that this foundation is in the middle of dewy and matte. It gives me a nice glow, but at the same time doesn't go too overboard which I seriously don't like. I'm more of a matte person anyway, but I think that this product has converted me a little bit, and I'm so glad it did!

The product scent is very clean smelling, it kind of reminds me of other CHANEL products, (ones I've doted over but can't afford to buy!) which is obviously brilliant! The one negative I have found is that it got a little too shiny once I'd been out in the sun all day. Of course, sweat does that to you, but I'd say that this product is more suited for the colder months.

If you have oily skin, I would recommend that you avoided this product, especially in summer, because it is a little bit oily. But if you're like me and have normal skin it works perfectly. I can also imagine that this product will be nice on dry skin too, the oil helping to lightly moisturise the skin whilst not going too far!

Have you tried this product? Do you like it?
