How To Make The Most Out Of Lush's BIG Shampoo.

Lush's cult shampoo BIG is the perfect way to give your hair a tremendous lift and make you feel like a mermaid before any special occasion. Have you ever wondered how you could embrace this shampoo even further and really make the most out of it with some brilliant hair lifting products? Here are my tips + tricks! 
Washing your hair. An obvious but ever important step in the process of making your hair BIG. I recommend that you wash your hair backwards, conditioner first, so that the shampoo leaves your hair last. Another tip is to massage the shampoo in your hair from the bottom of your head up to create more volume. Make sure you thoroughly rinse the shampoo once you're done, its strong stuff! 
Products.

Towel dry your hair first and then apply ALL these products and then blow dry! (Tips below). Coat your hair in VO5s Volume Boost gel spray, followed by their Plump It Up Amplifying Blow Dry Lotion. These are both great products to use, brush your hair lightly to ensure it gets to all of your strands if needs be! 

Drying tips.

Some say to dry your hair upside down, but I happen to disagree with this method unless you're in a wicked rush. To get full volume you should use your hair dryer and a barrel brush like this one. Soft bristles are gentle on the hair you see. Its pretty hard to describe the drying method to use, but lift a small section of your hair over the top, and point your dryer downwards to dry your hair whilst moving the brush along to your roots. A terrible explanation I know, here's a video that may provide something better:

Final boost, and more products!

You're not going to get some great lifted hair without some great back combing. Lift a thin section of the top of your hair and spray on some of the VO5 Give Me Texture Tousled Style Spray. Whilst holding that freshly sprayed section, back comb the underneath with a teasing brush or comb that you love. Repeat this all over the top of your hair at the root. If you have fine hair you might want to use bigger sections to hide the cluttered back combing! 

Style your hair how you like, and before you make any finishing touches, massage the Got2b Powder'ful Volumizing Style powder into your roots. Apply the powder sparingly, because it'll make your scalp go super white if not. Brilliant stuff!
