Natural Gold Eye Makeup In 3 Steps.

Here's another example of one of my recent favourite makeup looks, using the Naked Basics and the Maybelline Colour Tattoo I'll show you how I do it in three stages!

Step 1. I don't need to use any primer for my eyeshadow because the Colour Tattoo's themselves make for a great base. They're a lovely creamy texture and allow you to gently tap colour over your lid using a brush or finger. I used Eternal Gold and tapped and spread the product all over my lid and under the inner corner to act as a highlighter! My eyes look instantly brightened.

Step 2. Then to add some depth I use the Naked Basics palette and take Faint on to the outer corner and crease of my eyes. I just keep blending and blending until it looks really natural!

Step 3. To finish off I curl my lashes and use Benefit's They're Real on my top lashes, I leave the bottom lashes because it looks way more natural.

And there you have my simple three step tutorial on how to create this look. The Maybelline Colour Tattoo's are a great and easy way to create a makeup look, for cheap as well!

Day Trip To York- Photos & Mini Haul.

I went on a cute spontaneous shopping trip to York today (which is probably not today by the time you read this) and took some pretty pictures and got a few things. Here they are!

The first thing I purchased were these absolutely amazing shoes, I walked into Topshop and within 5 minutes I was already set on buying them. As I've mentioned before, I adore Topshop when they have sales on because everything becomes a little more affordable. These went from £52 to £15, how amazing is that?

The second item is a MAC shadow in Shadowy Lady. I felt like I was due a new shadow because I hadn't bought one in a while so why not? I got a purple shade because it'll bring out the brown in my eyes and make them look super brown!

The third and final item is the Tea Tree Skin Clearing Toner from The Body Shop. I've heard good things about this product before, and I actually had a discount code from Vouchercloud so this was in my hand pretty early too. Reduced from £5 to £3 so I couldn't say no, as per usual.

To end this little post here are some of the photographs that I took, York is such an attractive place:

Whittard's window display was so pretty!

York had cute Tea Rooms all over the place, wish it was more like that where I am!

A little weirdly obsessed with the green frame.

Food at a small place called Chloe's of York. I was attracted to the flooring.

Kind of laughing at the strangers in this photo more than anything.

Monthly Favourites - June.

Welcome to my first ever monthly favourites post. I feel like every blogger should do some form of a favourites post, whether they're beauty related or not, just because they show what they're into! Mine, as far as I can tell, won't be entirely beauty focused just because it doesn't take over my life as much as other things. I can't deny it though, there probably will be a large amount of beauty involved!

Ultraviolence! This is Lana Del Rey's new album, and if you haven't guessed already, I'm in love! I've been listening to this album non-stop ever since I bought it, my favourite tracks have to be Ultraviolence and Money, Power, Glory.

Inspired by Lana's album, I decided to read A Clockwork Orange (Lana's album was inspired by it!) because it seemed pretty interesting. Its a tough read, but I'm getting through it slowly and enjoying it completely!

I have a range of the Maybelline Colour Tattoo's, and recently I've been getting back into them, especially Permanent Taupe. These are good because you can blend them like shadow, and change the intensity on different areas of your lid to create a smoky eye look. All I need to add is some highlighter and maybe a bit of darker shadow under my lower outer corner lash line and I'm ready to go!

I bought some new Sony Headphones this month so I've been eager to test them on everything and see how good they are. For the price, they are pretty perfect. They're comfortable, the sound is great and their colour is fabulous.

I received Dior Addict Perfume for Christmas, its just a mini from a little Dior set and I never really got into it until now. This scent is quite unusual, but lovely at the same time and I've been wearing it a lot this month.

Casual Summer Outfit.

Here's yet another quick fashion OOTD post. This is just a simple and casual summer outfit that's perfect for a hot and sunny day!

The past few days have been rather busy for me (I just received the keys for my flat at uni. today!) so posts have been rather irregular. I'm hoping to get back on track soon though, so here is a quick post!

I've posted recently about my new top from the Topshop sale, its a really cute shirt that isn't actually that "summery", but I think it can look really nice when paired with a skirt like this pencil skirt from New Look. I got this for an interview a while back and its had so many uses. I really like dressing it down and pairing it with my converse, which add a little bit of casual to the outfit.

And here's the final look (excuse the towel!:)):

Top 3 Favorite Real Techniques Brushes.

Real Techniques brushes are the most affordable and value for money makeup brushes you can find. Since I'm a student and can't afford to buy better brushes, Real Techniques provide me with brilliant brushes for a brilliant price! Here are my top 3.

The first brush on the list is my all time favourite- the Stippling Brush. I think this is the best brush anyone can use for working in their foundation well. It really works the stuff into my skin and makes little product go a long way- which is something really important when you're poor!

My second favourite is the Blush Brush, shout out to my friend Kathryn who bought me this for my birthday last year! The Blush Brush helps me to apply my blush just the way I want it too, its not too big and not too small, its just right for me!

My third and final favourite is of course the Expert Face Brush. I use this brush for everything, I actually have two of them because I like them that much. I use them for foundation, bronzer, cream blusher and highlighter. It just has so many uses!

What are your favourite Real Techniques brushes?
